I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Sir David Nabarro. A former UK civil servant, Sir David worked passionately and tirelessly on Global Health priorities. He played a key role in placing nutrition at the heart of global development. My thoughts are with his family.

This week is #WorldBreastfeedingWeek – investment in breastfeeding is an investment in healthier futures 🌍 Breastfeeding practices could prevent over 800,000 child deaths a year and reduces breast cancer risk by 4% for every 12 months of breastfeeding 🤱❤️

WHO has validated #Kenya as having eliminated human African trypanosomiasis (HAT) or sleeping sickness as a public health problem, making it the 10th country to reach this important milestone. Read more: bit.ly/45r3KkK
