Day Two highlights of FBU Annual Conference. In the morning session, delegates discussed the FBU's work on pensions, where significant progress has been made. Delegates then discussed health, safety and operations - including the union's Decon campaign around fire contaminents.

The afternoon session saw discussion of the Executive Council's statement 'preparing for a general election'. Topics covered included the anti-union laws; defeating the far right; and refugee rights. Delegates also discussed a number of emergency motions.

And conference heard from three guest speakers. Paul Nowak on defeating the government's anti-worker agenda. Edward A. Kelly Ed Kelly, who brought solidarity from firefighters in the US and Canada. And Angela Rayner, who promised that Labour would deliver on workers' rights.
