After snapping a few decent aurora photos on my iphone on Saturday, I went home to grab my camera & headed back to Brighton beach. I had to wait until around 12.30am to catch a beautiful second display... I'll share a few snaps soon!

And here's a timelapse of the horizon while I was waiting (40 mins). Sanderingham pier can be seen in the distance. I figured that it was worth waiting as long as that green glow was hanging around...

AI can be used to make convincing looking fake data. There is no way we can distinguish real from fake anymore. It is safe to assume that genAI has already resulted in many fake papers. Scientific publishing is not prepared for this.
