FAO Malawi with support from The Gov't of Japan has supported farmers of Thete #irrigationscheme under Chamama EPA to construct an embankment to impound water to irrigate their field.
The farmers will plant orange maize with pro vita A & legume as part of #food & #nutritionsecurity .
Malawi: Thanks to 🇧🇪 Belgium MFA's funding, Food and Agriculture Organization aims to provide emergency cash-based assistance to 3 000 vulnerable households affected by the #ElNiño phenomenon.
This vital support will enable 13 500 people to navigate their own recovery.
