On Yom Hashoah, I remember the dozens of my family members who were murdered in the Holocaust. I am grateful to be alive and I am proud to be a Jew as we face a disturbing rise in antisemitism. Today and every day we must never forget.

Holocaust Remembrance Day is not only about the past – it’s about the present.

As we honor the memory of the more than six million Jews who lost their lives at the hands of the Nazi regime, we vow to protect our Jewish communities from the rise of antisemitism.

Calling for a “complete boycott” of and to “cut ties” with Hillel — the center of Jewish life on most campuses, where students attend Shabbat & holidays, do social justice & interfaith work, and come together as a Jewish community — is antisemitic. And ridiculous.

Thank you President Biden for speaking out against the non peaceful protests breaking out on campuses across the country which are interrupted the education of many students.

The right to peacefully protest should not be hindered but harassment and intimidation must end.

Amidst the very troubling environment for Jewish students on college campuses, we are lucky to have some leaders who proactively take a stand against hate and support Jewish students.

Thank you Chancellor John B. King and Governor Kathy Hochul for standing with Jewish students against hate.

This is abhorrent rhetoric and these individuals do not speak for the overwhelming majority of Jews.

This morning I went to Columbia University and convened City Hall, NYPD & Columbia’s President to discuss the need to fight antisemitism and protect public safety.

The recent harassment and rhetoric is vile and abhorrent. Every student deserves to be safe.

President Biden is absolutely correct.

The First Amendment protects the right to protest but students also have a right to learn in an environment free from harassment or violence.

At Columbia or on any campus, threatening Jewish students with violence or glorifying the terror of October 7 is antisemitism.

Last night was a difficult night for me and my fellow Jewish students at Binghamton University. The Student Association (SA) Congress passed a BDS resolution which is anti-Israel and antisemitic.

The Jewish community will remain united and strong despite this harmful action.

It was powerful to travel to Cornell today to join fellow students, parents and others to stand united for Israel and against antisemitism and hear from meaningful speakers Montana Tucker, Shai Davidai, Mandana Dayani, Bassem Eid , Rep. Brandon Williams, Marc Molinaro #NY19 🇺🇸 and others.
