Blowing Bubbles Fanzine And the war time cup also featured my grandfather, Norman Corbett, who was refused leave from the Essex Regiment to get there in time to play. He arrived at half time and later received a special medal from the club. That’s him in uniform.

Another great trip to Normandy over D-Day. A somber ceremony at the Bayeux #CWGC run by the Royal British Legion, with another Royal Yeomanry (SRY), Essex Regt + RMP service on the 7th. Good as ever to to catch up with Colin Taylor & WW2TV Paul Woodadge and the gang for a 🍺 or 🍻. James Holland
