Re: UNB, land ownership, and college colonialism. Visualizing UNB’s original land grant over Fredericton shows that UNB’s land holdings heavily influenced the city of Fredericton as we know it today.

Great potential for comparison here between colonial New Brunswick as a domain state relative to Nova Scotia as a tax state. And on its own terms, the article is a superb piece on a 'landgrab' college, funded by income from unceded Wolastoqiyik land. 👏👏👏 Richard Yeomans

What a wonderful turnout for the StFX University info session for the on-site Tri County BEd in Yarmouth! StFX Alumni Affairs also turned it out. Never did I think I would be part of bringing Higher Ed to my hometown. Some days this job is a dream come true!

Historians do not have a monopoly on teaching the past. Access and appreciation of knowledge to be gleaned from archival records is not defined by a graduate degree in history. Archives are not the same as web-based databases. Just thoughts.
