Another amazing Uni of Birmingham Community Iftar delivered by UoB Islamic Society. For the first time, the Great Hall doors were open to over 700 of our Muslim students, staff, family and friends to break their fast and enjoy an Iftar with members of our community.

Another Advance HE #EDIConf24 done~ This year, we showcased Student EDI Uni of Birmingham’s Urban Changemakers empowerment programme at UvA Amsterdam. A 4-week summer school for Birmingham Scholars on championing societal change and developing resilience as young leaders.

An overwhelmingly positive response to our ‘Diamonds in the Rough’ 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ tour, originally developed for Jewellery Quarter Cemeteries Project and done for Student EDI. Hugely important: these kind of events only happen through funding. We’d love to do more and expand on the queer stories buried here.
