In yet another lawless attack, liquidator Cloete Murray who was unraveling serious government and ANC corruption in the Bosasa liquidation inquiry was the victim of an organized hit. His son who works with him was shot dead and Murray is in critical condition.

Members of the legal profession have gathered in the Pretoria High Court to commemorate 100 years of women in law. In attendance is Ms Desiree Finca who is the first black woman to be enrolled as an attorney in 1967.

In commemorating 100 years of women in law, speakers reflected on Schlesin v Incorporated Law Society 1909 TS 363 and Incorporated Law Society v Wookey 1912 AD, stating that the act expressly opened the door to women to be admitted to practice and to be enrolled as advocates….
