We have submitted a letter to both the Zimbabwe Youth Council and Ministry of Higher & Tertiary Education ZW requesting for a dialogue in light of UZ strikes. Our plight is on the lost of academic time for many students, the deteriorating quality of education and importance of well paid motivated lecturers.

🗣STATE OF UZ STRIKES Following unending strikes at the University of Zimbabwe and failure by the administration to address the concerns of students and lecturers, I have written to the Ministry of Higher & Tertiary Education ZW and the Zimbabwe Youth Council - requesting a sit down to talk on this matter urgently!!

Imagine paying $400+ to get an education at UZ,& it's been more than 6 wks without learning . According to the academic calendar, we are only left with less than 15 days before closure. Ministry of Higher & Tertiary Education ZW, please do something! Our parents struggled for some of us to be where we are today.

#TodayAtUZ No retreat! No Surrender! Our Lecturers must be compensated fairly in order for us the students to receive Quality Education! We have refused the hiring of Mshika Mshika Lecturers to teach us, we want our qualified Professors and Doctors Back! #Solidarity Munya Gwisai
