Internet service isn't great in the E. Antarctic but the invertebrates are! We have had some amazing samples come up in the EBS including zillions of aplacophorans and cumaceans with extra special guest appearances by monoplacophorans and two undescribed Xenoturbella! #IcyInverts

One of the special honorees of the WoRMS top-10 marine species of 2022 was Yoda demiankoopi, a purple acorn worm from the deep Pacific described by Greg Rouse & collaborators at Scripps Institution of Oceanography using ROVs from Schmidt Ocean & MBARI.
