Meanwhile, back in NC, our Early Learning Associate Policy Analyst, Emily Chavis, M.Ed., just finished up moderating a session at the NC Indian Child Welfare Gathering on "Aligning Early Childhood and Child Welfare Systems to Support Tribal Children and Families"!

It was an honor to be on the panel to talk about how we address the systemic roots of why so many tribal children are substantiated for child maltreatment. When we support families, we can prevent child abuse & neglect!
