I was very pleased when Emil Kristoffersen and Phil Holliger approached me, wanting to know the structure of RNA mincircles as they undertake rolling circle amplification. Here is the result of our simulations, now published in eLife - the journal :

Happy to share our preprint based on an exciting collaboration with Phil Holliger. Thanks to the team for making it happen: Ewan McRae, Chris Wan, Emil Kristoffersen, Kalinka Hansen, Edoardo Gianni, @isaac_sur, Joe Curran and James Attwater. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Never expected to see this: #RNA on the (reverse) cover of the journal Proteins! Congrats to Rachael Kretsch and all authors of the #CASP15 special issue!

CryoEM unveils structure of nano-sized 'RNA copy machine,' a key player in the ancient RNA world. This breakthrough may fuel RNA nanotech and medical advancements. 🧬 Ebbe Sloth Andersen, Phil Holliger, and Ewan McRae et al. publish findings in PNAS (PNASNews). inano.au.dk/about/news-eve…

Nice news story about our recent research into the mythical RNA world, where we have explored the structure of the (proposed) central player: the RNA replicase. Thanks to Emil Kristoffersen, Ewan McRae, Phil Holliger and coauthors for making the research possible. sciencenews.dk/en/rna-researc…

New preprint from my lab, based on a great collaboration with Ebbe Sloth Andersen and Ewan McRae, Emil Kristoffersen.

We have submitted our second paper on the topic the RNA world in collaboration with Phil Holliger based on experimental work by Emil Kristoffersen and Ewan McRae in the Andersen Lab. Preprint is available on bioRxiv! Here comes a short explanation of the background and content.🧵1/7:
