Minister of State James Kabarebe received H.E. Nermine Mohamed El Zawahry, Ambassador-designate of the Arab Republic of Egypt 🇪🇬 to Rwanda 🇷🇼. They discussed further strengthening cooperation between the two countries mainly in the fields of health, defense and education.

This morning, Prime Minister Dr. Ngirente met with Lt. Gen. Kamel Alwazir, Minister of Transport of Egypt and his delegation. The discussions centered around strengthening cooperation between Egypt and Rwanda.

Strengthening Rwanda -Egypt relations will boost economic activities including aviation industry, trade services, agriculture, support industrialization & leverage resources in various capacities.

This Wednesday, Minister Jean Chrysostome Ngabitsinze, PhD, alongside Minister Dr.Jimmy Gasore, held a meeting with H.E. Lieutenant General Kamel Alwazir, Minister of Transport of the Arab Republic of Egypt, who is in Rwanda with his delegation, to explore ways of strengthening bilateral relations.

Regarding the trade and industry sector, Minister Jean Chrysostome Ngabitsinze, PhD mentioned that the bilateral relations between Rwanda and Egypt are yielding positive results. The numbers from 2018 to 2024 indicate an increase in imports and exports, and this trend is expected to continue rising.

This afternoon, H.E. Lt. Gen. Kamel Alwazir, Minister of Transport of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and his delegation, accompanied by Minister Jean Chrysostome Ngabitsinze, PhD, visited the Kigali Special Economic Zone to witness Rwanda's industrial development.

On his second day of working mission in Rwanda, H.E. Lieutenant General Kamel Alwazir, the Minister of Transport of Egypt along side Minister Dr.Jimmy Gasore toured the 40,000 cubic meter KANZENZE Water Treatment plant which serves the City of Kigali & Bugesera District .

Today,Rwanda Food and Drugs Authority received Egypt's Minister of Transport, Lt. Gen. Kamel Alwazir, & delegation to strengthen health and pharmaceutical sector ties.
