New Yorkers’ taxes enable this. How? Because NY State gives tax breaks to non-profits that fund these settlers’ West Bank settlements. Everyone horrified by this pogrom should support Zohran Kwame Mamdani’s #NotOnOurDime bill to end NY’s subsidization of illegal Israeli settlements.
Everyone who followed this case saw the NYPD’s delays, deception and cowardly coverups. Long after Mayor Eric Adams is gone, taxpayers will likely pay millions to the heartbroken family he refused to meet with.

“Finding out from press late on a Friday, on the weekend that my family is mourning the 5 years since Kawaski was murdered is unimaginably painful.”gothamist.com/news/police-wh…
A Friday news dump to try to downplay this disgraceful (yet entirely unsurprising) decision: the NYPD officers who shot & killed #KawaskiTrawick in his own home while he was making dinner will face no consequences. Again.
i guess Ritchie Torres wasn’t too happy that One City Rising posted the video where he praises their anti-progressive org full of republicans and transphobes, because they deleted everything!

I spoke to the The New York Times about J Street's approach to the war in Gaza.
The piece focuses on whether Jews continue to find affinity with J St. I think the crisis facing J St is actually much graver: as a peace org, when you won't use political capital to stop a war, who are you?
Thank you, Elizabeth Warren.

Grab a copy of New York Daily News to read this new piece by Audrey Sasson & Sochie Nnaemeka about the right-wing-funded attacks on Rep. Jamaal Bowman Ed.D., and the multiracial, multi-faith, cross-class, intergenerational coalition it will take to fight back.
