More than happy to share this learning with Wandsworth Council officers! Last year we participated in the consultation of the new Wandsworth Plan outlining how CLH could be part of the affordable housing mix for our borough. Many Ldn boroughs are now bringing sites forward.

Hard to fathom when the church sell off land by auction to developers & advocate for housing justice. I have seen it so many times. They sold a site to developers at auction a few years ago in Earlsfield despite a strong bid from community. Southwark Diocese profit before people

Sometimes its the light touch creative interventions that start a good relationship with a regeneration project. This is certainly the case here. Looking forward to adding more social value to this project with Higgins Partnerships Great project timed to perfect with Swaffield School

I would strongly urge our new Wandsworth Council Labour leadership team listen to Georgia Gould here on the power of missions and deep listening to the lived experiences of communities with love and imagination. Kemi Akinola👸🏾🐝 Simon Hogg @RowanEConway link.medium.com/vN7ysto0Crb

Sold for £2,820,000 by Southwark Diocese to a private developer. No tax paid .. no community say .. no pastoral care .. no housing justice ..no love of nature .. cut down the beautiful established tree to make it easy for the planning .. no wonder the churches are empty ..

Last night our CLT watched our ward councillor Cllr Sarmila Varatharaj table a motion as part of her superb maiden speech for Wandsworth to become a Borough of Sanctuary for Refugees. Sarmila will go far with the poise and dignity she showed last pm Bravo to Wandsworth Labour & Wandsworth Welcomes Refugees

It’s great to see such a strong platform of housing policies from the new administration in Wandsworth. Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan and I are looking forward to supporting their ambitions to deliver more social housing in the borough.

Genuinely affordable homes from Wandsworth Council made possible by building on council land which means no speculative land value. A developer led scheme could simply not do this as they would need a return on their investment of 20 % + to satisfy their model. Public entrepreneurship ...

Superb community event celebrating the slow release into Autumn. A community that sows together - grows together. It amazing what happens when you allow local people take on stewardship of local assets. This is how you build community.
