Commotion cordis is uncommon but has high mortality. 2/3 sport related. However not sport related most often due to assault, in females mainly domestic violence. Important to 1. Increase awareness 2. CPR training 3. AED access. Dr Han Lim #aphrs2023

HOT-CRT Trial 📌In a study of 100 patients, #HOT-#CRT showed a 96% success rate vs. 82% for BVP-CRT (P=0.03). 📌Both pacing techniques reduced QRS duration, with similar procedure times. 📌 LVEF ⤴️ at 6 months was greater with HOT-CRT (12.4%) vs #BVP (8.0%, P=0.02).
