Hot off the press from our lab Sassetti Lab. Congrats dr emily rittershaus! TCA cycle carbon flux regulation is important for survival under hypoxic conditions. Loss of Mt-Pat or inhibition of MDH activity = reduced viability and increased carbon flux through the oxidative branch of TCA.
New preprint from the Sassetti Lab! A fun collaboration with Sishir Subedi and Tom Ioerger, our friends from TexasA&M. Hope you all have an enjoyable read! biorxiv.org/content/10.110… A thread of some cool things we found....
Our lab just posted a new preprint which shows how ELP-dependent expression of MCL1 promotes resistance to EGFR inhibition in triple-negative breast cancer cells. Congrats Peter Cruz-Gordillo, MD|PhD Megan Honeywell and the rest of the team! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Ryan Richards and Michael J. Lee found that drug combinations comprised of two cell death targeting drugs are enriched for antagonism and “single agent dominance". nature.com/articles/s4158…
I'm so excited for the first research article from my group to be posted! There is CRISPR, RNAseq AND T cells! Something for everyone! It was an amazing effort by Laurisa Ankley 🏳️🌈 and Mike Kiritsy in collaboration with Kate Fitzgerald. Thought I'd do a quick thread to explain: 1/11
If you are interested in interactions between host immunity and mycobacterial respiration, check out the preprint of my first, (co)first-author paper! Big thanks to everyone involved! Sassetti Lab Andrew Olive
I’m REALLY excited for our new study to be posted! In collaboration with Sassetti Lab this story pushed us in lots of new directions leading us to uncover a key role for Mitochondrial respiration in IFN-gamma responses in macrophages! A thread:
