City of Glasgow College has backed down on compulsory redundancies, 100% salary deductions for industrial action, and closure of a trade union education centre, according to union representatives. A HUGE win for EISFela if true. heraldscotland.com/news/24418645.…

It's alright for some £5k rise plus another £5k backdated. Notice period extended to 12 months, nothing to do with his buddy the departing chair of the board giving a GIRFUY to lecturers and support staff offered 5k over 3 years dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-…

If you haven't done so then please cast your vote in the Re-Ballot. Let Graeme Dey John Swinney and The SNP see the strength of EISFela. I dare them to keep ignoring us ahead of their personal appraisal in 2 years time... Step in and fix this. Ignore us again at your pearl

Well...have you voted? They know the conditions around the "offer" below yet conveniently forget about the restorative year 4. Contempt for hardworking lecturers. Get it posted. Demonstrate the strength of EISFela Do it today #YesYes

Another strong ballot result by EISFela members! Once again they have made their feelings clear about the current pay offer and approach to negotiations by College Employers Scotland & Graeme Dey. Lecturers expect genuine negotiations not the talking shop of recent months!

New: College lecturers vote to continue industrial action over a pay dispute. 71% supported action short of strike (eg marking boycott) and almost 67% supported full strike. This is a long running dispute, UK law requires a renewed mandate every 6 months.

As from Monday 19th August 2024, Liz Connolly and her SMT at West College Scotland will be joining the list of colleges withholding lecturers pay INDEFINITELY, should a lecturer carry out the legally mandated resulting boycott. THIS IS JUST PLAIN WRONG AND MUST STOP IMMEDIATELY
