It’s a privilege to be lead by Paul Spicer in both these heartfelt pieces.Looking forward to working with Caroline Taylor and Thomas Humphreys and welcoming back Basingstoke Symphony Orchestra. Thanks to Vaughan Williams Foundation for their support

That’s a wrap for Petersfield Musical Festival for another year. Two fantastic choral/orchestral concerts culminating last night with a visceral performance of Vaughan Williams’ Dona nobis Pacem so appropriate for our times. Bravo to one and all. This festival goes from strength to strength.

Tomorrow’s the day in Lichfield Cathedral when Birmingham Bach Choir performs Bach’s B minor Mass, one of the greatest achievements of the human mind. Stellar soloists, Sophie Bevan, Simon Ponsford, Ruari Bowen, Roderick Williams, Musical & Amicable Society orch. 7pm start. Join us!

World Premiere, 5 July 2025, Great Malvern Priory. We're so proud to have been chosen to sing one piece from 'Living Voices', composed by Russell Hepplewhite 🇪🇺 . Our piece is 'Song of Flight', text by Jamila Gavin, published by Stainer & Bell. It will form part of our Summer Concert in July.

"Magnificent performance with brilliant orchestra & soloists, led by Paul Spicer, enabling them to deliver music of great depth, perfection, sadness, & joyousness" Laurence Whitehouse. Enjoy some photos from one of our tenors ahead of the formal photos & reviews coming soon.

Do read these lovely reviews from our recent concert in Lichfield Cathedral. If you were there, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. 🎶🎶🎶 1) David Saint: birmingham.bachchoir.com/downloads/Davi… For 2) and 3) see below ⬇️

A truly wonderful ECE Choral Courses week in the south of France near Montpellier at Chateau Rieutort. 40 lovely people most of whom are part of the ECE ‘family’ have come together to sing (concert today) and renew or make bonds of friendship. Fabulous food, great music & a lovely time.

Last stage of the journey back from ECE Choral Courses near Montpellier. Here in beautiful Caen which suffered so badly in WW2. Miraculously the two abbeys survived and we visited the Abbaye aux Hommes this afternoon. Extraordinary and moving building. Home tomorrow.

Looking forward hugely to ECE Choral Courses at the fabulous St George’s Cullercoats next week. One of Pearson’s masterpieces right by the sea. Music by Phinot, Tallis, Lauridsen, Philip Moore (I saw him standing - amazing piece), Finzi and Rachmaninoff. Run-through 4.30 Sunday 18th).

About to start ECE Choral Courses weekend at the beautiful Pearson church of St George at Cullercoats, Tynemouth. Some 40 singers meeting to sing Tallis, Purcell, Phinot, Rachmaninoff, Lauridsen, Finzi and Moore. It will sound glorious in that acoustic. Run through 4.30 Sunday.

July 5, 7 pm Great Malvern Priory! Wonderful French programme, plus, as part of Russell Hepplewhite 🇪🇺's Living Voices project, Stainer & Bell, 'Song of Flight', by Jamila Gavin. And, Russell is hoping to be with us. Do come! Details and to book: birmingham.bachchoir.com/concerts---tic…

"One of the highlights of recent times", Paul Spicer. A happy, sunny day, enjoyed by singers & audience alike. Wonderful, too, to have Russell Hepplewhite 🇪🇺 & #JamilaGavin with us: very impressed by our 'Song of Flight' from 'Living Voices' Project, published by Stainer & Bell.
