Of course there isn't room in a socialist party for socially conservative views. You can't organise for liberation alongside people who are fundamentally opposed to that principle. It's also frankly offensive that you talk about Muslims as though they are a conservative monolith.

The point, comrade, is that we're building a socialist party, not a microcosm of our backwards capitalist society. I'm curious as to whether you think it would also be acceptable for a queer person who holds racist views to be part of our party? I wouldn't say so, personally!

Would be entirely within your democratic rights as a member of the party we're trying to build to organise for this viewpoint alongside others sharing it, seeking to win majority support amongst the membership and enact it as party policy. That's democracy, after all!

it's not really confusing at all unless you for some reason believe that the party can *only* work alongside people and organisations who are actual members obviously that isn't the case and would be a ridiculous approach

My take on the social conservative yorp thing is that if people want to be in leadership positions then we need to trust them to fight for liberation. If we want to overthrow capitalism then we need to overcome the social relations as much as the economic ones
