I showed up to the classroom this morning to this letter taped to my door. Empathy and encouragement in the classroom works.

As teachers, we need to teach a curriculum and maintain a classroom that respects and cares for students as individuals.

Today we start class with being well. Using a little weave silk to relax the brain this morning. SEL in the classroom is always a win!

I’m not crying… you are?! FSD is going to have an emotional support dog for students to utilize when they need it most. So needed. 😭

We had our first gallery walk book reports! Students were invited to read a book and create a shoe based on the character, setting, plot, or theme of the book they chose. Some pretty fresh ideas were made! Ps. It is my favorite thing that one group selected The Giver. So good.
