KHSAA region 6 AAA! The girls team won regionals scoring 124 pts and winning big by 50pts 🏆 🏆 The boys team finished 3rd in a close one coming down to the end! 14 individual region champions, 5 region runner-ups, and a new state lead in the boys 200m, WHAT A DAY!

Our girls rocked it at nationals! Susanne with a NATIONAL TITLE in the freshman 2mi and 5th place in the national elite 1mi! Keira finished 11th with a big new PR and that’s a 400m with hurdles!

The lights are on tonight honoring legendary coach Alvis Johnson. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

The best athletes I've worked with were extremely competitive, but... 1. They were able to switch it off when it didn't matter (i.e. family time). 2. With teammates it was competition to raise each other 3. Competition was about growth, not dominance.
