Here’s a track from our new BMX Bandits album Dreamers on the Run for you. It was written by AndrewPattie_music and me, it’s called Cockerel’s Waiting.
Thank you to everyone who attended our Tim's Listening Party tonight and to Tim and Nick.

Here’s that title sequence that I mentioned at the start that inspired me. I saw the film at a cinema in Tokyo in 1999. youtu.be/ywi6OLq7lL4?si…

Our last track is another reprise of the opening theme. Andrew repairs and adapts games consoles and I wanted to bring that other aspect of his life into the album. It’s a blessing for those that we love.

Jay Jay and I listened to and discussed lots of music, especially from the 1930s and 40s, songs written for Al Bowlly, music written and arranged by Alec Wilder and others. I wanted us to create a very illustrative arrangement.

The Things We Threw Away is another reflective song of mine about some regrets. I had the opportunity to collaborate with New York based musician and arranger Jay Jay Lozano.

Hop Skip Jump is another song that I have been singing to myself for a decade. I saw it as been like a collision between Bo Diddley, School House Rock and European New Wave.I saw it as being a single as soon as I sang the chorus to myself.

We wanted to set the song in a different context. I wanted it to be for outsiders who find themselves living in a world that can feel a bit dark and threatening. I wanted the song to feel like it was sung in their sacred place that they feel safe.
