I have been a doctor for 18 years - every time I think I’m climbing up the slope of enlightenment, a medical case comes along to humble you Every patient is unique & conditions really don’t follow tick box algorithms Medicine is complex, mind-blowing at times & demands respect

Just to check: As per Health Service Journal et al The #NHS won’t be able to hit waiting lists ; cancer care will be delayed; Winter will be awful AND the maternity review will be delayed because the Resident Doctors will go on strike for a few days. Such a vital & incredible healthcare

The RCGP has once again surprised me with this change of direction in their messaging. If this continues I might actually have to retire?

I'm actually embarrassed to work in the NHS. No dignity for patients, people die before coming to hospital, unemployed doctors, doctor rota gaps filled by anyone who's not a doctor, almost every hospital in the UK can't hit cancer targets yet CEOs are on £150k+ increasing every

YOUR GP - HERE FOR YOU - A NEW CONTRACT It’s time for a new contract between you, your GP & the Government For too long GP have been restricted in providing care by top down contracts with limited funding, which don’t put patients first GPs need your support in providing this

Polythene1234 Alan Stout I think we are. The latest news about contract negotiations is yet another knife. I don’t want to do this any more but I don’t want to abandon the NHS because I value it. This is, however, what they’re exploiting. All I want is to provide good care for patients. Everything and

“It’s arrogant for doctors to say there are many aspects of their job no one else can do” No, it’s arrogant for those with lesser training to think they can do the job of doctors- based on their personal hubris & ego. It is awareness of doctors that stops them from being

Wes Streeting scrap 111 in core hours, scrap pharmacy first, scrap neighbourhoods, scrap local commissioning. Give us one national GMS contract. Give us the backing to use our clinical acumen without fear of retribution.

Dr Steve Taylor (@drstevetaylor) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Let’s get this straight 7000 more Drs this year but only 4000 extra training places & just 1000 in the next year If the number of Drs increases surely increase training places is a given, it shouldn’t be a negotiation Loads more Drs without training pathways - heads must role

Its looking suspiciously like a normal flu season........ Have the public been mislead? That is rather serious, no?....

Dr Steve Taylor (@drstevetaylor) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Happy Christmas 🎅🏼 one & some Through the ‘toughest’ flu season…..🧐 Even Resident Doctors ….🤯 Thanks for GP Practices, community teams…..🤔… nope! Wes spins the message even when attempting to give thanks & manages to miss primary care altogether 🤷🏻‍♂️

Doctors finally calling out manifestly unqualified people working way beyond their competence It’s about time & the cat’s not going back in the bag Very awkward 2026 for policy makers & those that enabled this farce on the horizon

I am convinced that the only way that GPs can survive and thrive is becoming a private service. Doing a dentist. The alternative? A salaried service. Nope. Tell me what I'm not seeing.
