You don't need the best brains in the country to tell you why doctors are moving out of UK after training.

I absolutely CANNOT overstate how similar the anti-gay moral panic of the 80's and 90's is to the current anti-trans moral panic.

It is THE SAME in almost every way - word-for-word - same lies - same arguments - same propaganda - same fears - same 'concerns' - everything.

Narrator: Isabel had never travelled by train before, so had no idea what the impact of privatisation on the railways had been, and took to blaming her favourite villains despite all the evidence.

JFC.

Any woman who suffered birth trauma who received this letter basically has the Trust over a barrel from a medicolegal perspective, I would think.

Appalling care with astonishing myopia from a governance perspective.

Horus has unironically shared this poem as an example of a good reflection and I genuinely do not know if it’s satire

'Schools must not teach children about gender identity.' Heads up, people: I guess we're outlawing the terms boys, girls, mothers, fathers, Mr, Mrs, Miss and banning gender differentiated uniforms

This opinion isn't anywhere near as spicy as it sounds: if you don't want children to receive any form of sex education, it's because you are either 1) a perpetrator of childhood sexual abuse or 2) support perpetrators of childhood sexual abuse.

There is no other valid reason.

once more for those at the back
sex ed for primary school kids doesn’t teach them to go and have sex.
it teaches them to keep their bodies safe and get help if someone assaults them
Anyone wanting to ban it is harming children and putting them at risk of sexual abuse

People, it is imperative to understand that this is not ok. This is not 'modernization', this is some 5th world kind of s**t. I want the public to understand that this is not how medicine/surgery works. Some 100+ years ago standardized medical training became a necessity because

So 350 more unemployed docs in 2030 then

You are a large department. Perhaps two of you could hold hands, create a synapse and realise that without increase in training jobs this is pointless

Rotational training:
Crap for trainees
Crap for depts

System redesign thus feels due.

Why aren't we funnelling our efforts into making medical training better for all concerned?

This is giving 'I know someone trained ME, but I want an easier life' and it's frustrating to watch

I assume NHSE Workforce, Training and Education - Midlands will be financially compensating the prospective West Midlands North FY1s who have been affected by this bungle, as I suspect that would be cheaper than contesting (and inevitably losing) a bunch of employment tribunals.

Genuinely the GMC comms team must have one of the hardest jobs in the world, it's like trying to do PR for the KGB
