Some folks on X are downplaying the courage Uri Berliner modeled in blowing the whistle on the deep ideological bias of his employer, NPR. I can only imagine that these are people who haven't themselves lived and worked in the milieu in which he lives and works. He's a brave man.

As Prof Byrne and Dr Hooven note, the problem with saying 'sex assigned at birth' is that sex isn't assigned at birth. Indeed, sex isn't assigned. (Nor in humans can it be changed.) You can't make reality conform to ideology by manipulating language. 'Facts are stubborn things.'

Looking forward to being with Dean Pete Peterson and other Pepperdine School of Public Policy friends at the Reagan Library, where I'll be giving the 2024 Ronald Reagan Lecture.
