Yesterday, I had the opportunity to present at my first Meharry Medical College Student Research Day! Honored to have placed first place for poster presentations in my section. It’s always great seeing and hearing about the research happening at my HBCU🫶🏾

Reading the #MyHBCUStory /ies confirms why I will support HBCUs with all I have, every day, as long as I can. These institutions have been changing Black lives, families, and communities. Let's make a pledge here to not see another single HBCU, no matter how small, closed down.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson has already brought uncompromising integrity, a strong moral compass, and courage to the Supreme Court. Today, we celebrate her formal investiture. This is a day for all Americans to be proud.

#MyHBCUStory began 4 generations ago, when my great-great grandmother attended Hartshorn Memorial College, now Virginia Union. She paved the way…and I (VUU ‘03) just added to our family’s legacy. I know #HBCUs changed our family’s trajectory, as they continue to do for others.
