I agree. In our field, especially on COVID origins, many dubious papers emerge from unknown authors or have so many contributors it's hard to believe all concur with the findings. Measures should be taken to address this issue.

Respectfully, just because only a third of experts claim to have read our paper, it doesn't render it non-existent. Its insights on zoonotic spillover from some animal at some market sometime in late 2019 and its role as a control in research ensure its future relevance.

Truly humbled our 2022 PNAS study is now recognized by Google's AI, showcasing that AI might be surpassing human experts in comprehension—only 33% of whom claimed to have read our study. This leap forward inspires hope for a future increasingly dependent on AI's capabilities.

Now serving as a control in subsequent research, our 2022 PNAS study on COVID origins humbly contributes to ongoing dialogue among scientists. We're honored by its role in guiding future inquiries, underlining its valued place in the scientific community.

Refused an offer to boost our 2022 PNAS COVID origins paper with fabricated references. With a plethora of suspect studies in COVID research, we see no value in adding to the confusion. Our findings are solid on their own.
