For real. I let every organization inviting me to come and speak that Palestine will come up. Do not invite me to speak on decolonial relations and be surprised that global colonial violence is part of the conversation.

it should not go unnoticed that many of the faculty putting their bodies on the line have been Black faculty members, the most policed, surveilled, and vulnerable community, while other faculty consume our trauma as academic material to platform their books and articles.

Abolition and decolonization seem cool, flashy, and sexy until you realize they aren't just buzzwords and require internal, interpersonal, community, and institutional work to divest and transform from colonial & carcerals practices, logics, & systems.

More than ever is so easy to see within the university who is actually for justice and freedom who isn’t (despite the books they may write).

Gave a talk on historical trauma among Indigenous communities. Instead of pathologizing Native responses to colonialism, advocate for structural change and recognition of tribal sovereignty. We know how to heal ourselves, it's all the other stuff that keeps getting in the way.

it's such a struggle to keep organizing in spaces you already know are counterrevolutionary. and also, i try to remember some of the work is being patient alongside folks in their journey of coming to those realizations, and supporting them in imagining new possibilities.
