Tomorrow I'll be meeting and teaching my own first ever Maths classes and I'm soooooo excited🥰👩🏻‍🏫 Going to create the most safe, motivating and happy space for the students and make sure Maths becomes one of their favourite subjects, whether they excel in it or not🤓

The jump from your teacher training year to your NQT (ECT) year is madness tbh😅💀🤯

The best day of this year tbh. As an ECT it's the first time I've been called a favourite teacher and it's made me really happy😂🥺

Spent the last 7 years without a valentine, but recently found one and he was worth the wait😅 Looking forward to this half term even more now😎

The thing people often don’t talk about in teaching is how much of it is a performance. No matter what’s going on in your life you stand up in front of those kids and perform and if you’re ill or something challenging is going on in your personal life, that’s exhausting.

This year I've taken my first year 11 class and I'm very pleasantly surprised/shocked by how much progress my girls have made since I met them. Been researching about female maths teachers with female students and I'm intrigued to know what % of your maths department are female?
