Have you seen this video from the 1900s on Fort Neglect? I mean, Fort Negley? Fort Negley Park, a UNESCO Site of Memory youtube.com/watch?v=8NrWEtβ¦

Capturing descendants from the Bass Street Church for a documentary! The church's original location was at the foot of Fort Negley Park, a UNESCO Site of Memory as it was started by Black Civil War veterans.

The brochure is for the new Builders and Defenders database, which contains the names and biographical information about 19,000 enslaved & free Black Civil War era builders and defenders of Nashville. Find out if you are a descendant of this Fort Negley Park, a UNESCO Site of Memory population. Friends of Fort Negley

You are invited! June 19, 4pm, Fort Negley Park, a UNESCO Site of Memory Visitors Center. Featuring descendants of Bass Street at Fort Negley and all your favorite experts: @learothawms, @Pubhistorian, Daniel J. Sharfstein, Betsy Phillips, and more!
