The eye of Category 5 #CycloneIlsa now clearly visible on radar, tracking toward the coast between De Grey and Pardoo. Will soon pass over Bedout Island offshore, where winds are currently gusting to 176 km/h.

Weather observations at Bedout Island confirm #CycloneIlsa is indeed Category 5. Amazingly the weather station is holding strong and transmitting data (!) as average wind speeds reach 206 km/h, with gusts as high as 278 km/h. Pressure currently at 936 hPa as the eye passes over.
