I added water! Usually, devs use shaders to distort the surface. It works, but it often feels 'thick' or gets the scale wrong (like a mosquito on a puddle). I chose to use animated sprites, It feels less procedural and blends better with the art. #IndieDev #GameDev

Water updated :) Switched from a background rect shader(+simple tiles) to a shader directly on foreground tiles. Added surface reflections and subtle deformation, while keeping the hand-animated splash sprites. #PixelArt #IndieDev #GameDev #GodotEngine
