In the spring of 2018, our Outreach Club, & the DM "Parks" Club, each donated $500 to support the Highland Park Little League baseball program. We've been pleased to help restore the fields and start regrowing the popularity of this league back to what it was decades ago!

Sept 2018 - Our Outreach Club sponsored a hole in the inaugural Fore The Veterans golf tournament (foretheveterans.com) and provided a special needs golf club. ForeTheVeterans

Every April - Our club serves and provides vision screenings at the John R. Grubb YMCA Healthy Kids Day. It is a great annual event that hosts hundreds of local families in their quest to become more healthy in spirit, mind and body.

Oct 2018 - Our club donated $500 to Hip-Hope Inc. - a local nonprofit organization that serves underprivileged, inner city teens who show signs of hopelessness.

Our club has sponsored a team since 2016 in the YMCA Capital City League - an NCAA certified summer basketball league with current players from Iowa State, Drake, other smaller colleges and high schools. It's a great, free community event for the whole family! @yCapCity

2017 marked the 100th year of the Lions Club. Global/international leader in service!

The DM Outreach Lions Club was happy to assist the Ames clubs with their meal packing event in May! Thanks to “The Outreach Program” and the City of Ames Fire Department, we were able to fund and pack over 3,500 meals that the Ames clubs will be finding destinations for soon.

National Top 10 2020 high school recruit N'Faly Dante N'faly Dante is in Des Moines for the summer and landed on our Des Moines Outreach Lions Club’s @yCapCity team. He stands 6'11" and helped our team (12/8/blk) open the summer season with a dominant victory!

A very entertaining game 3 in the books. #WaukeeCliveVet defeats Des Moines Outreach Lions Club 124-109. There were a ton of highlight plays in this one and we enjoyed every bit of it. Tre’ Jackson and GC4🐺 played very well tonight. Not to mention N'faly Dante had a strong game too.

The second game is done. Des Moines Outreach Lions Club takes the win over ForeTheVeterans 109-100. Mark Currie played well and was very efficient on the offensive end. Zion “Deuce” Griffin had another strong after week. Again he finishes with another 30+ game along with some rim rocking dunks. #game2
