How can we celebrate the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination today when Government blatantly lacks accountability on Closing the Gap reporting, let alone progress? 6/8

The message this sends is our lives do not matter. What you don’t measure, you can’t manage. Djirra, like other Aboriginal organisations, holds critical information about women’s safety, so why is gov not funding our efforts to collect, control & analyse our stories data? 5/8

It is completely inexcusable that SIX YEARS have passed without the Federal Government making efforts to collect our data. This would not be accepted in the mainstream National Plan to End Violence Against Women and Children Djirra #CloseTheGap 4/8
