As someone that had to go to 3 tribunals to get disability benefits (I use a powerchair full time) I'd like to tell Rishi Sunak it is not too easy to get benefits. It is a cruel & harsh system. Perhaps the rise in people unable to work is due to the huge waiting list for the NHS?

I never fail to be moved by the effects of finding someone’s #music #language at the advanced stages of #dementia. This lady used to be a church organist - see how she responds to hearing this familiar hymn. Please remember ppl never stop #listening MusicforDementia. #EOL #care 🎶

🌱Hello, I'm Mark When my dad was killed in 2014, someone sent me this; and I found it be a source of comfort in that, over time, I would be able to breathe again — and it was true. Bless you my friend for taking care of your son and bless the legacy of the life he lived. ——— Grief Comes in

When a person is diagnosed with dementia, sometimes those around them start to distance themselves due to lack of understanding. It can be a lonely time, but a visit or a familiar voice on the phone can create a sense of belonging and help someone feel less alone 💙

Like Prof Thomas Fuchs, I believe the persistence of embodied memory allows a way into the thorny issue of maintained personhood and identity even in advanced dementia. A key paper on this is the following. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32865694/

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this man..💔 As an update: I contacted the guy who filmed it asking for specific location so I could try & get help but didn’t receive a response. But, based on the cafe in the background, I think it is Birmingham New Street (?) So,
