Here's the president of the U.S. telling a private company how it must make its products, on pain of seeing a massive, government-imposed increase in its input costs. I very rarely use the word "fascist," but this is unconstitutional, fascist nonsense.

With tariffs like this, it doesn’t seem like we’re in revenue raising world or in deal making world. We’re in punish trade because Trump thinks imports are bad world.

I don't understand how this is hard to understand. If I buy something with dollars, I have not "lost" those dollars. I have traded them for something I value more highly than the dollars. It doesn't matter if that trade is with a domestic company or a foreign one - exchanging

What they are doing at Harvard, Columbia, and other universities indicates that they are a bunch of wannabe dictators who want to control American university life. We need to protect the First Amendment. It's absolutely critical.

After every tragedy, the vultures flock in first. 1. Media vultures - who make things even worse with their shrill sensationalism. 2. Agenda vultures - who never lose an opportunity to heartlessly plug their narrative. 3. Conspiracy vultures - who immediately indulge in baseless

Congrats to England on their excellent win in a hard fought test match. Bad fielding and poor batting by the long tail did it to India. Catches certainly do win matches. I also think Gambhir is a poor coach, not well-equipped to motivate a young team.

Covid had “disproportionate effects on ethnic minority groups…..Additionally, socioeconomic variables including income inequality, residential segregation and lack of health insurance coverage are…..significant contributors to these disparities.”

There is a simple explanation for Grassley giving up every principle he ever upheld in order approve Trump's law-breaking judge en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Grass…

This is awful. Reliable economic data is a key strength of the US economy. When Argentina and Greece faked economic data it contributed to major crises. I don't think Trump will be able to fake the data given the procedures. But there is now a risk plus an awful appearance.

Trump's trade war probably qualifies as the greatest madness in economic policy in a developed country after WWII: 1. All decisions are made by one single person (Trump). 2. No principles are applied. 3. No economic rationale or theory. 4. All is based on Trump's emotions. /1
