I spent years and years being ashamed of my illness that I spent so much of my life forgetting to live. That’s what mental illness takes from you...life. Never be ashamed of what you’re going through or the way you feel. It’s real and you can’t get rid of it by wishing it away.

You literally have NO IDEA what someone else is going through. You have no idea what it took for someone to get out of bed this morning. You have no idea whether they spent the night contemplating their life. Use your words to make someone’s day, not to tare them down. BE KIND.

To keep going when all you want to do is give up, takes a strength that some will never know.
