Thrilled to share our new Nature Cell Biology paper, led by our amazing student Dohun Kim: Mitochondrial NADPH powers mitochondrial fatty acid synthesis to sustain lipoylation, mitochondrial translation, and oxidative metabolism. rdcu.be/eiyH7

excited to share our latest work now online Nature Metabolism, led by Kyle Flickinger, where we unravel a mechanistic basis for the conditional essentiality of NADK, one of the many interesting hits from our previously reported CRISPR screening with HPLM rdcu.be/ekpu6

Is HP the equivalent of UnitedHealthcare for the assembled computer industry? We have a 12k workstation... down for 3 months... and their solution is to replace the mobo 5 times... I guess they avoid a proper warrenty replacement like UHC evades accountability for care... #profit?

My lab’s 5-year NIH R01 grant, awarded to study gene therapy for hearing loss, was abruptly terminated. I want to share how this action has been incredibly harmful and disruptive, not just to my lab, but to the scientific process itself. 1/15
