It was great to show Ed Miliband around Amber Valley BC’s new council homes in Kirk Langley. The Labour council’s commitment to providing green homes will save tenants money and reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.

There are warnings Derbyshire County Council is on the edge of bankruptcy ahead of a crucial meeting to discuss how to plug a £40 million hole in it's finances.

Earlier this week Birmingham City Council went into special measures after declaring itself bankrupt.
