We have been learning about Remembrance Day. We read the poem 'In Flanders' Fields' by Major John McCrae and discussed why poppies are used now as a symbol of remembrance. We looked at pictures of poppy fields before creating our own paintings.

We have been playing lots of active maths games to help us learn our number bonds to 20 and 100.

This coming Thursday (14th) is World Diabetes Day. Children are invited to wear blue and contribute a donation to The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. 🔵

We had great fun sharing our learning with our adults at shared start this morning. We were busy with language activities related to our class novel 'The Witches'.

We had a great time this afternoon. We looked at the print 'The Great Wave off Kanagawa' by Hokusai. We painted a sunset background and then did some table top printing to create waves.

Primary 4/5 children have brought home their invitations to 'Share our Learning.' Parents - look out for these today!

We are very proud of one of our classmates. Being the Brazilian Jiu-jitsu World Champion 2019 was not enough for our classmate. She has worked so hard and has now earned her black belt in the sport from the World Kuksool Association. Very well done.

Primary 3/4/5 Christmas Party will be on Wednesday 18th December in the afternoon! Children may be collected for home dinners at 12.35 or can get changed in school after their lunch - please sent party clothes in a named bag. Thank you! 🎄

Primary 4/5 have been working on up levelling sentences. We were given some plain sentences. We used connectives and WOW words to make them more interesting.

This wee piece of schoolbag mail went home yesterday. We've got a busy week of parties and Nativity. 🎄
