Reasons you are probably overestimating the probability that Twitter dies:
1. Platforms die when their audience leaves. Twitter audience is bigger than ever.
2. Platforms survive longer than you think. MySpace, Tumblr, Flickr, even AOL are still alive.

Maybe it's my age. I'm entirely OK with this site going away. For good. It's happened before and, in the end, life really didn't change all that much.

Elon Musk previously claimed that Twitter would create a 'content moderation council' that would convene before any 'account reinstatements' occurred.

He just announced that three accounts had be reinstated.

Does the council exist?

FACT CHECK: This is a very old trope that Zuckerberg and many others used years ago but whatever. It’s largely meaningless. Also hate tweets have ALWAYS been downranked in Twitter and who decides what a negative tweet is? Three guesses and the first two don’t count.

remember how Denny’s changed its slogan to “a good place to sit and eat”

has Elon considered a rebranding this site with a new slogan like, “Twitter, a good place to tweet about Twitter”

weird that “work around the clock for a capricious weirdo” didn’t appeal to folks

I will just gently note that Twitter's default state is overreacting to the latest news development, and this hasn't changed since Musk bought it, and perhaps that's worth remembering.
