And... another Australian university admits to having underpaid their academics. Wage theft is the very business model! The cases so far focus on sessional staff though. What about the excess work forced upon full time academics? This is wage theft too!

Our members ground out this victory, as did our IR team. One day longer, one day stronger.

Wage justice has a long way to go, with faithfully applying Agreements, pillars of the Accords process. But with wins like this, we’re one step closer.

Huge stuff. The Deakin campaign inspired similar disputes at Curtin. We’ve been waiting over a year for any meaningful update on Curtin’s audit into ten years of potential underpayments. It’s a slow grind but we’ll get there like NTEU Deakin Branch
