There’s some good teamwork and early stages of leadership emerging in our lifting groups. Kids gotta talk to each other and cheer them on! They win we win!!

One thing missing in so many programs today is the development of leadership. There are fewer leaders now because adults are accustomed to doing everything for youth. We have to give up control for leadership to develop. It’s hard for some adults, but very necessary for kids.

Basically any student in a weights class earns a shirt when they hit certain maxes. Gray is first, red second, black third. After your black you then move into elite gray, elite red, elite black. We also have several female athletes knocking on the door of their gray.
