🚨 Another turbulent night for Kharkiv and Kyiv in Ukraine Due to the attacks, people have been killed and injured in Kharkiv, and civilian infrastructure has been damaged. The Ukrainian Red Cross has been there for people affected providing first aid and psychosocial support.
Maintaining children's spirits in a frightening atmosphere is one of the critical humanitarian services provided by Ukrainian Red Cross. Great work shown here by URCS' Mykolaiv regional branch.
One year since the Kakhovka Dam destruction, access to clean water remains one of the major challenges for people in the affected areas. Ukrainian Red Cross alongside @IFRC supports the communities through installing water purifying systems and covering other urgent needs.
We can seize the opportunity to scale up early recovery in Ukraine - partucularly but not only in the west. Ukrainian Red Cross is already working hard on this.
Congrats to Ukrainian Red Cross and Österr. Rotes Kreuz for this important programme for Ukraine's recovery.
Through ongoing attacks, Ukrainian Red Cross is ready to respond around the country. This is why we invest in local capacity.
Grateful for the strong engagement of Ukrainian authorities in today's preparatory meeting led by Ukrainian Red Cross on the upcoming Int'l Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent.
This unglamorous scene was actually the occasion to celebrate the significant progress that Ukrainian Red Cross has made in helping IDPs and others in need to get jobs or start new businesses. Congrats also to Cruz Roja Española and other partners for their effective support.
With attacks arriving daily - in Dnipro, in Kharkiv and more - Ukrainian Red Cross continues to be first on the scene with the authorities.
Inspiring to meet up with Ukrainian Red Cross emergency responders as they train. 10 years ago, URCS established its first Emergency Response Team. Today, with 600+ trained volunteers, they are responding to emergencies across Ukraine, offering vital help to those in need.
For over two years, Ukrainian Red Cross staff and volunteers like Oleksandr have risked their lives to bring emergency support to those in need. On #WorldHumanitarianDay, we recall that humanitarians, civilians and civilian infrastructure are #notatarget.
In preparation for what is likely to be a difficult winter, @IFRC, ICRC Ukraine, and Ukrainian Red Cross hosted a meeting today with diplomatic and humanitarian partners. Our priority is to be ready, coordinated and practical in supporting Ukraine’s most vulnerable.
