You don't have to be a fan of *everything* Elon Musk does and says to find this very unsettling from Robert Reich in the The Guardian: "Musk’s free-speech rights under the first amendment don’t take precedence over the public interest." Who defines the public interest? Is that
An officer from City of London Police on Good Morning Britain says that people need to 'help them' with tackling phone theft by not taking calls in the street, perhaps by stepping into a doorway. There's been a total loss of control when people are being briefed to not use their phones freely in public.
The House of Lords debated the covid Inquiry yesterday. "I am not particularly impressed by what I have seen of the workings of the inquiry so far ... Its conduct so far seems to have lacked something, both in seriousness and in real intellectual curiosity about the pandemic."

"Prepare for Starmer to let in millions more migrants" Tories must anticipate a situation in five years' time that is worse even than now. Robert Jenrick is right to see the need for a totally clear policy in response: that is, a cap on arrivals and leaving the ECHR. My
