Happy to announce 1st of several papers/preprints to drop from our lab, by Cerise Tang and co-led by Justin Jee. The first 1-figure paper I've written but not the last, the title says it all: Obesity shapes the selection of driver mutations in cancer medrxiv.org/content/10.110…

Always important to try new integration methods! Specially when balancing correction vs. data loss!! Excited to try this out!!

This represents how we believe haematopoiesis is actually proceeding at a clonal level. I'll walk through our preprint early next week. "A multi-track landscape of haematopoiesis informed by cellular barcoding and agent-based modelling" biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Excited to share our new study on the heterogeneity of interstitial macrophages based on their chemokine expression -conserved in humans and mice- a major role is to orchestrate leukocyte recruitment and establish TLS formation. Xin Li Arlind Mara nature.com/articles/s4159…

There's been amazing coverage of our new paper nature nature.com/articles/s4158… but I wanted to put together a walk-through (and make this accessible as possible). It's a bit long so get a cup of tea! The full version is open access so pls do have a read if you are interested...

For 25 years, the Toll-like Receptor pathway was considered a series of distinct protein complexes that drive inflammation. Today, we report that the entire pathway, from receptor to transcription factor, is executed from within one complex—the myddosome. nature.com/articles/s4158…

Is it always possible to assign #GeneExpression #CellStates to #SingleCells? Or can biological noise set fundamental limits? In our new work, we show that #CircadianClock states *cannot* be assigned to single cells due to transcriptional noise! tinyurl.com/4uxdxw2k (1/8)

Macrophages are terrible at migrating. In contrast, their precursor cells - monocytes - are highly motile. Monocytes exploit interleukin 6 (IL-6) secreted by cancer cells and themselves to migrate fast and promote cancer cell proliferation. More here: biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Finally! It is happening! After 6 years of hard work by formidable teams in 13 institutions RESOLUTE - Research Empowerment on Solute Carriers, we have ordered and validated the results and are able to share the FOUR (4) papers aimed at assigning functional properties to each human SLC #membranetransporter
