Throwback to when Meli & team were shooting in the hills of Namosi, Fiji at the Namosi Eco Retreat. Surrounded by green mountains, clouds literally rolling over the hills, the sun breaking over through, we were so blessed to shoot 'Daunitukutuku' in there.

It's official - 'Daunitukutuku' will be having its New Zealand Premiere at Māoriland Charitable Trust Festival 2026! I'm excited to show the short film in New Zealand for our Indigenous cousins to enjoy and for our Fijians to see themselves on screen and hear their language!

The screening will be on Thursday, March 26th at the Civic Theatre in Otaki, and will be screened in the 2pm timeslot called 'Whakapapa'. Tickets are available here: iticket.co.nz/events/2026/ma…
