I’m worried the Penguins’ top guys being banged up might prevent them from doing much in the postseason but this season has been much more entertaining than anyone could’ve reasonably expected. Hard to be super disappointed with any outcome from here

Ilyin has flown under the radar a bit. Very interesting prospect. Legitimate playmaking skills. Spent last 3 seasons in KHL with increased production each year.

This Penguins team gonna make me genuinely feel something about them for the first time since prior to covering them. I’d completely written off the idea of another postseason dance in the Crosby era but this team can win a series or two. I’ll take whatever comes from here.
